Program Details and Application
Tuesday July 7th – Sunday July 19th, 2020 at Hartwick College, Oneonta, NY.
We have decided to cancel Foothills Opera Experience for the summer of 2020. Due to an uncertain future of available space and congregation of people in one place I have found it necessary to review the facts and come to conclusion that we will not be able to meet our recruiting necessities at this time. This would have been our prime recruiting time for our program but with the current restrictions placed on everyone, due to safety hazards, it is impossible to recruit at this time.
Our Student to Faculty ratio is less than 5 to 1. No more than 24 singers will be accepted into the program.
Tuition of $1,700 includes all instruction, housing and three meals a day.
A limited number of scholarships are available to eligible applicants.
Your application must include a current head shot, two letters of recommendation, resume of education and performance experience and a short biography.
Your application must also include a $35 application fee, payable to “Foothills Opera Experience”.
You can send a check with your application by regular mail or you can pay your application fee online and email us your application and materials. This fee is not refundable.
You can choose a Live Audition or an On-line Audition. Live auditions will be held in February and March of 2020 in New York City, Binghamton, Oneonta and Los Angeles. Whether you choose a Live Audition or an On-line Audition you are required to prepare to sing 2 contrasting arias and 1 art song.
